District 4 6A Team Named

In early December the District 4 6A All District team was named and several Bulldogs made 1st Team. BHS 1st Team All District winners were:

Bill Wilson Dog Walk – A New Bull Dog Tradition Begins

The Bill Wilson Dog Walk as constructed in honor and memory of Coach Bill Wilson. Coach Wilson’s tenure at Bearden was rather short, but his impact at BHS is long lasting. Coach Wilson was instrumental in reviving the campaign to build an athletic complex to house the football program which was completed in the summer of 2010. Before each home game, BHS students and fans form a corridor to escort the Dogs to Bill Young Field. As the team and coaches pass thru the Dog Walk Memorial they traditionally touch/rub the Bull Dog statue for good luck.

The Dog Walk contains over 5,000 brick pavers that can be personalized by former players and BHS football supporters. If you would like to purchase a paver in support of BHS football/athletics, request forms are available under the Booster Club – Forms tab of our web-site or at the Dog Walk.

A dedication ceremony will be held Friday September 9th at 7:10pm. Many thanks to Coach Wilson’s son, William, for his contribution and oversight of this project.
